Bio
๐ My name is Mahmoud Safi, and I am from northern Gaza. I lost my wife during the war, leaving me to care for our little daughter, Wateen, who is now growing up without her mother. We are doing everything we can to survive through donations. You are our lifeline right now. Your support can help me provide basic needs for my orphaned daughter and give her hope for a better life. ๐๐คhttps://gofund.me/49fccc99b
What verification means
Verification means that two volunteers from our team โ one from Gaza and one from outside Gaza โ had a video call with the person/people listed here.
During the call we:
Spoke to them to Palestinian Arabic
Had them show us around outside their home to verify that they are in Gaza (if their profile lists them as being there; we also verify Gazans who have been displaced to other countries and regions).
If their profile states theyโre in Gaza, we have checked they have an IP address in Gaza.
Verification means that, based on the above process, we believe they are Palestinian from Gaza. It is not a character reference and does not attest to anything beyond this.
How we can help
If this account is unfairly limited or suspended for who they are โ and has not broken the rules โ please get in touch with us and we will advocate on their behalf and help them move to a safe server if need be.
Please be kind ๐
Please remember that this person and their family are facing genocide, ethnic cleansing, and apartheid at the hands of the settler colonialists in Israel.
Mastodon and the fediverse is one of the only lifelines they have to the outside world.
So, please, be understanding, kind, and welcoming.
