What verification means

Verification means that two volunteers from our team – one from Gaza and one from outside Gaza – had a video call with the person/people listed here.

During the call we:

• Spoke to them to Palestinian Arabic

• Had them show us around outside their home to verify that they are in Gaza (if their profile lists them as being there; we also verify Gazans who have been displaced to other countries and regions).

• If their profile states they’re in Gaza, we have checked they have an IP address in Gaza.

Verification means that, based on the above process, we believe they are Palestinian from Gaza. It is not a character reference and does not attest to anything beyond this.

How we can help

If this account is unfairly limited or suspended for who they are – and has not broken the rules – please get in touch with us and we will advocate on their behalf and help them move to a safe server if need be.
